Toy Run 2009:
Toy Run 2009 is now in the history
books. There were approximately 1200 motorcycles
that took part. Two 5 ton Marine Corps. trucks
were filled.
The R.I. Motorcycle Association was
able to contribute $1000.00 to the Toy’s for Tot’s
program through the generosity of the Gilbane Bldg.
Company.
I’d like to thank all those
involved in this truly wonderful event. From the
volunteers that help to organize, to the sponsors that
help to cover the costs. To the clubs that help
with parking control, and road guard duties. To
the police from Providence, Bristol, Warwick, Johnston,
and Central Falls that helped insure all the rider’s
safety by controlling the interstate traffic. To
“T.C”. from B101 for taking part and helping to promote
our 33rd Annual Ride. Most of all
THANK YOU to all the participants that came out and
donated all those toys to the Marine Corps. Reserve Toys
for Tot’s charity.
